In a time of Crisis you are not alone. Any level of involvement with the Forensic Mental Health System and/or the Criminal Justice Systems can be extremely overwhelming. Through Peer Support and a willingness to be actively involved in your well being you can recover and take the lead in building your life.

Crisis Prevention Plan

As part of your plan we help you utilize Crisis Services throughout the Kenora/ Rainy River District that best meet your needs. We help you to connect to the services in your community that may assist you with ongoing support.

Support

Peer Support Specialist supports

involved with the Judicial System.

Services we offer :

  • Peer Support
  • Navigating the Forensic Mental Health System, Criminal Justice System, ODSP, CPP, Ontario Works (OW), Probation/Parole
  • Additional Support for individuals in the Hospital or Correctional System
  • Suppor t for Family Members
  • Connecting to community services that best meet your needs

Advocacy

  • Systemic Advocacy - Mental Health and Justice at all levels (Provincial, Federal & Municipal ) to work toward change
  • Individual Advocacy
  • Promote Self-Advocacy opportunities to learn new skills

Education

  • Create your own Crisis Plan indi vidually or in a group setting
  • Access to information bout Mental Illness
  • Opportunities for onsumers , family and the general public to learn new skills, gain wareness, and develop HOPE.
