Did you know?
One in three Canadians will experience a mental illness in their lifetime, one in five in a year. Mental illness strikes across gender, age, culture, education and income groups. The individuals affected are our friends, family members, neighbours and co-workers: mental illness touches us all.
The Canadian Mental Health Association (Fort Frances Branch) strives to provide the information, knowledge and support necessary to empower recovery for these individuals. We exist to promote Mental Wellness within the Kenora Rainy River Districts by enabling individuals, groups and communities to increase control over and to enhance their mental health.
To this end, we provide a wide range of rehabilitation programs and training opportunities targeting individuals in recovery. We also provide public education and supported housing.
